Phytofuse Renew^®

After one week, the solution containing 2.0% Phytofuse Renew® decreased TEWL 12% more effectively than the base lotion alone. After three weeks, the solution containing 2.0% Phytofuse Renew® demonstrated even more effective barrier protection, decreasing TEWL 19% better than the base lotion alone.

At a concentration of 2.0%, Phytofuse Renew® demonstrated significantly lower levels of MDA than the untreated controls. It can therefore be concluded that at normal use concentrations Phytofuse Renew® can be used as a hair pollution protection active ingredient.

Phytofuse Renew®-exhibited anti-inflammatory effects on LPS-treated fibroblasts. As expected, the changes in IL-6 production using Phytofuse Renew® appear to be dose dependent. This decrease in IL-6 production indicates a reduced inflammatory environment which could decrease the signs of aging and reduce the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. For these reasons, we can assume Phytofuse Renew® is suitable for cosmetic applications designed to provide soothing and anti-aging properties.

Phytofuse Renew® exhibited antioxidant activity comparable to our known antioxidant, Trolox®. The antioxidant capacity of Phytofuse Renew® increased as the concentration increased, as a result we can assure that its ability to minimize oxidative stress is dose dependent.

Phytofuse Renew® was able to provide pollution protection as specified by micronized carbon residue. The small amount of carbon that remains compared to the untreated control indicates the ability of Phytofuse Renew® to provide barrier protection against everyday air pollution and slow the extrinsic aging process. It can therefore be concluded that at normal use concentrations Phytofuse Renew® can be used as a skin pollution protection active ingredient.

Exposure to airborne pollutants perturbs cellular homeostasis and accelerates characteristic signs of skin aging. Taken together, these data indicate Phytofuse Renew® attenuates the negative impacts of airborne pollution on cellular viability. Collectively, Phytofuse Renew® offers protection against airborne pollutants at a cellular level.

Collectively, the mechanisms of in vitro scratch closure mimic the mechanisms seen in in vivo wound healing. These data indicate Phytofuse Renew® has wound healing properties and triggers cellular migration, which may assist in the wound healing process

Collectively, these results demonstrate Phytofuse Renew® blunts airborne pollutant-induced hair protein degradation, thereby protecting hair fibers from damage. Taken together, these data indicate Phytofuse Renew® promotes hair health by exerting anti-pollution properties on hair when used at the recommended use-levels.
